An approach to business grounded in a strong sense of responsibility has shaped the history of our family company for almost 200 years. At Waelzholz, responsibility is more than just a value – it’s an integral part of our corporate culture and our DNA.

This commitment is especially evident in how we treat our employees. The idea of being there for them and offering support is deeply rooted in our corporate culture. Our workforce is the driving force behind the success of our family business, which is why the satisfaction and individual well-being of every employee is extremely important to us.

Supporting and leading the way

In 2018, Dr.-Ing. Hans-Toni Junius, co-owner and chair of the Waelzholz Group’s Board of Trustees, took this idea a step further by establishing the Dr.-Ing. Hans-Toni Junius Foundation.

The foundation was created to support employees of the Waelzholz Group and their immediate family members who find themselves in difficult life situations or in need through no fault of their own. It also promotes science and research by fostering talented individuals and supporting innovative projects in the cold rolling industry and applications for products made from cold rolled steel strip. By helping people reach their full potential and driving lasting improvement across the entire industry, the foundation builds a bridge between tradition and the future.

Board of Directors & Board of Trustees

The foundation is led by a three-member Board of Directors and advised by a Board of Trustees. This structure ensures decisions and actions are broad-based and that activities are conducted in a responsible and sustainable manner in line with the foundation’s mission.

Both the Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees review each request for assistance individually and ensure that the foundation’s funds are used responsibly and in accordance with its stated purpose.
